The Arab Science and Technology Network for Sustainable Development

The Arab Science and Technology Network for Sustainable Development is established by the Arab Committee on Sustainable Development as an incubator for partnerships to activate the role of science and technology transfer and knowledge dissemination in achieving the 2030 sustainable development agenda. The network opens its membership to leading research and scientific institutions in the Arab region in addition to international and regional organizations with interest in science and technology. It also includes representatives of the private sector, including those in banking and finance, and civil society groups representing youths, women, and persons with disabilities. The Social Research Center of the American University in Cairo, the administrator of the EMR-SDGs Learning Platform, sits on the ASTNSD’s Board of Trustees, which also includes representatives from UNESCO, the Arab League Educational, Culture, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the Association of Arab Universities, and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
